One life • Make it count • No regrets
There's an old story about a man who spent thirty years complaining about the crack in his ceiling, waiting for someone else to fix it. When he finally passed the house on to his son, the crack was still there — bigger now, but still just a crack. It never stopped him from living underneath it. It just sat there, a small daily reminder of something he meant to deal with "eventually."
Most of us have a version of that crack. A conversation we've been putting off. A version of ourselves we keep meaning to become. A "good enough" life we've quietly settled into because it's easier than asking for more.
You don't need permission to want more out of your one life. You don't need everything figured out before you start closing the gap between where you are and where you actually want to be. You just need to stop waiting for the crack to fix itself.
What's the crack in your ceiling? And what would it take to finally deal with it — this week, not "eventually"?
